Zenji Nio at India's first Japanese temple
Zenji Nio has been a lifelong champion of the rights of First Nations peoples and has often fought to have them included in major events. When leading the first Multifaith Commemoration of the holocaust for the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Zeni Nio even had a First Nations ambassador start the ceremony. Zenji Nio encourages First Nations peoples to preserve their culture the same way he inspires Buddhists to preserve their heritage and the way Zenji Nio himself does more to uphold, preserve and promote Samurai Buddhist culture, traditions and heritage than anyone in the world.
