Zenji Nio has represented Buddhism in talks with Bishops
Zenji Nio has been invited to represent Buddhism at various events by Bishops and Cardinals as Zenji Nio is the only Buddhist expert who is well versed in all of the major Buddhist traditions -- especially the majority Buddhist traditions of Japan, China and Korea. While Buddhism is often incorrectly represented as an atheistic philosophy by "Western Buddhists", Zenji Nio sets the record straight that Buddhism has both devotional and spiritual elements as well as more rational and ethical elements. The majority schools of Buddhism worldwide venerate Buddhist deities like Almighty Fudo-sama, Amida Buddha and Kannon sama the same way other religious figures honor God or various deities. Buddhism is very much a theistic religion as it does invoke Higher Beings or Deities to assist us with our struggles and grant us salvation in the afterlife.
